New Guy (Very soon to be owner)

HI Guys,

My name is Kurt, and I'm a car guy (or hoarder, if you ask my wife!). But seriously, I've been looking at (lusting after?) HHR panels a for a few years, and have finally decided to purchase one since my former daily driver is getting pretty long in the tooth. I figure I need a car, they aren't making them anymore, and the longer I wait, the harder it will be to find a good one! Currently have 6 cars, 7 piles of parts and/or cars in various stages of disassembly, ranging from a Blown Hemi powered 1923 T Bucket to a to a Blown (and blown up ) 1989 Lincoln Mark VII. I look forward to becoming a HHR owner and participating member in the forums.

Welcome, and keep us posted on your hunt for that panel. Oh, posting pics of your new wheels are required.

Good luck with your search, and when you bring it home, lots of pics like whopper said, we're a visual bunch here.

Welcome to the site.

A SS panel sounds like it would fit well on your resume.
They are hard to find though. Only made one year, 2009, and only 216 came off the assembly line.

Santa came early(?)

Well, I looked and looked and decided to pull the trigger on a 2008 HHR Panel Ls w/ 74,000 miles. Only problem is it's in Jackson, Mo. (If anybody has been watching e-bay lately, you probably saw the car)( http://m.ebay.com/orderDetails?itemI...037016&txnId=0 ), and it has some minor hail damage on the roof. I thought about passing because of the hail damage, but I'm planning on two toning it anyway. Of all the cars I looked at, this one was the best, fairly low mileage one I saw, so I figured a little roof damage was a decent trade off for almost half the miles.

(Found the listing, and added a pic of it to your post for you, it's a looker!) 843de/Mike

Congrats on your new ride!

Post up some more pics when you get it home, and especially when you do the custom paintwork, we love photos round here ya know.
