New here

OK I finally found it, thought I would just say HI. I recently inherited a 2007 HHR from my grandfather when he had to be put in a home so I'm still learning a lot about it. Had the car about a month now and I do like it so far. The brake rotors were warped and have been replaced, otherwise I've done nothing to it yet.

For those who give a hoot I had a stroke almost 3 years ago. The walls of my blood vessels are weak and the two arteries that supply blood to the brain collapsed. After having it happen for about a week I was finally hospitalized for a month and then had to live with my parents for a couple of months. But I have lived alone since March 2007, and will continue to do so as long as I possibly can.

This car is a replacement for the 1995 Pontiac Grand Am I have owned since 1998. Gas mileage seems to be about the same but the HHR does corner better. Good tires and a sway bar will likely improve that considerably.

I may put a supercharger or the SS turbocharger on it, time and money will tell. If this thing had about another 100 hp it would be scary. Having less than 23000 miles on it makes me want to wait a while anway.

Anyway, I'll probably be on here from time to time, mostly when I don't have something I consider more important to do. Gotta go now as there are naked good looking women in the movie that is on my TV right now.

Welcome from the OC and to the HHR familia!

You sound like a survivor of life and a fighter.
Lots of great help and great folks on here.
