New HHR owner

Hey everyone,
I just recently bought a 2011 HHR LT, black granite metallic. It was previously a rental vehicle, and had very low mileage on it.

I have a quick question, that hopefully someone will be able to answer.

I have my ipod plugged into the aux input, and into a charger as well. When the music is turned up fairly high, I get a white noise sound going in the speakers when the song has a low point, or is going into another song. It also gives that same white noise when I am accelerating. Would anyone know what I would be looking towards to help eliminate that?

Welcome to the site, clwest25, I don't know about that little glitch, except I would unplug the charger, see if it stops.

It does go away when the charger is unplugged, except for the acceleration part of it.

Welcome to the forum! I also get the same white noise. I believe it has something to do with a grounding.

Welcome.

Vibration going through power cable into the phone translating to that noise?

x3, mine does the same. I always have to make sure my phone is fully charged when I head out cause the sound just bothers me too much. But honestly, I don't even like the sound of the cd player when a disc is in...gets annoying and I can't seem to tune it out and just ignore it....lol!

This site has lots of great info on almost anything you could want for our rides.

to the forum clwest25!

You're picking up some inductive interference from the charger, like Slide Rite said, keep your device fully charged and that will get rid of the problem.
