New HHR Owner

Hi all,

Bought a 2011 Chevy HHR one week ago and am loving it. Has 48k miles on it flex fuel, Silver with Black interior. Took it on a nice drive today about 150 miles it handled very well with pretty good pickup. Anything I should be on the lookout for as far as maintenance with 48,800 miles?

Dear Dave....

Welcome to the club....

Just keep up the suggested regular maitenance and oil changes. The HHR is basically a Cobalt/Cavalier with a special body and frame. They have a good reputation for reliability, user flexibility and fuel economy.

Welcome Dave, don't worry if it makes noise on a dirt road, it's an easy fix, your front end is not falling apart.

Welcome to the site. Only suggestion i can think of service wise is the air filter. They suggest changing it at 50k. Do you know if its been done yet?

Angry Interior Door Handle Broke Off

Hello All--this is my first time posting on this site, so if I'm in the wrong place, please forgive me.

A couple of months ago I was getting out of my 2009 HHR LT and the interior door handle just broke off in my hand! I called Keyes Chevrolet dealership in Van Nuys, CA where I purchased the car and they told me it would cost $569 to replace. I asked them why and they said they have to replace the entire door panel???? I looked on AutoZone's website and they shoe the handle for $99 and Keyes told me that that is not the right part?--please help with any suggestions!
