New Member, Purchasing an SS

Hello everyone,

I am looking to purchase a 08-10 SS, preferably automatic in silver.

This will be my first newer car purchase and I am looking for tips and advice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

streetshaman

thanks!

so far i have found a 09 SS for about $16.5k in my area with 40k miles. It has the tone two ebony and silver interior, silver exterior and the pioneer sound system.

I am not sure if it has the brake package or the stage 1 package. If I wanted to add those, how difficult would it be if the dealer is not a chevy dealer?

Also, is there anything i should look for or ask about when I go to test drive the car?

i would take it to a dealer for the stage kit, because they have to do a ecu flash, and while driving it, boost the heck out of it make sure you cannot hear any bad sounds from the turbo.

ok

what about the differences from 08-10?

Are there any major changes I should be aware of? I understand there is some variance on the performance seats (driver vs passenger) and on the 10 the turbo gauge is in the center instead of the left column.

thanks again

Orly?

Well that is good to know. I think I will need to get an 09 for those features then.

How about the price for an 09 at $16.5k with 40k miles?

Yeah the 08 came with just a basic headphone jack you plug you iphone, or any other phone or MP3 player into the play music.

I paid a few months back 16.5 for my 08 with 12k miles on it. If you are willing to drive around, shop larger locations. I had to drive 8 hours each way for mine but I really wanted the blue/purple color.
