New owner - Florida

Been an HHR fan since they first came out, but only just bought one (tag arrived Christmas Eve day), a 2010 HHR LT 2.2L auto, black w/chrome accents, 74,983 miles (at contract signing), towing package installed, & 2 year powertrain warranty w/$100 deductable.

Some minor flaws, but overall pretty decent shape. I've only found 1 spot of rust, just above windshield, about 1/8" diameter, already picked up some touch-up paint to cover it. Has a couple of very minor scratches that may come out with rubbing compound, & a few tiny dents that aren't noticeable unless you look directly at them in the right light. Oh, & a rub line where the previous owner had a "LeBra" front end cover installed which I cut off the second it was in my driveway.

Only things I don't like appearance wise is the rubber around the windows, it's pitted & has greyed. AND... the wheels, I originally though they were alloy, but after I got it home & looked closely I see they're only chrome covers & all of them have cracks & scratches

Took it on a 248 mile round trip Christmas Day to visit mom, averaged 35.2MPG with the A/C running half the time!!!!

Running wise, [knock on wood] it sounds & feels great so far [/knock on wood], except... really bad shudder when breaking.

I've already been looking at add-on chrome accents & new wheels & haven't even made first payment yet

I hope this is the beginning of a very long & happy relationship

Welcome! You will find all you need here & more!

The plastic chrome wheel covers are very inexpensive. If you do a search you will find many different suppliers.

Your braking shudder can be caused by the rear brake shoes not being adjusted properly. Have the rear brakes checked & adjusted.

Have a great time with your HHR ! I certainly do with mine!
