Hi all, I (we, wife and I) just purchased a new 2011 HHR. It is our effort to find a "right-size" SUV. We traded in a Tahoe and a Tracker. The Tahoe was too big and too thirsty, the Tracker was just a little too small and didn't have as many "comfort and convenience" options (mainly heated seats, yes we are spoiled) as we would like for longer trips. Besides, maintaining those two vehicles plus a pick-up truck just didn't make sense for just two people.
So far we have really enjoyed it and feel we made the right choice.
Details:
White, gray leather int. with heated seats, 2LT with 2.4 eng. Automatic
I lurked on here while we were deciding what to buy and lots of your posts were helpful, so thanks for that. It seems like a friendly community (with the exception of oil type and change interval arguments... uh sorry... discussions, which everybody, everywhere disagrees on
) so I thought I would join in.

I'd like to echo what 2011HHR said about you guys being helpful. My wife and I are car shopping, and we've got our eyes on a shiny red HHR. I've been devouring this forum for a few weeks now, and have learned a lot from many of you, and I'm really encouraged that this is the right car for us.
That said, we're still not sure that the HHR is big enough for us. We have two pre-teen boys, I'm a pretty big guy, and we'd be downsizing from a Ford Windstar (I drive an F250), so our main hesitation right now is that we can't convince ourselves that over the long haul, this car is big enough for us and all of our stuff (our families live out of state).
