Smile New from Texas

Hello. I have just purchased a 2011 HHR with 35,000 miles, since GM are not going to make this model any longer I am hoping to keep and maintain this vehicle for many years then pass it to a grand son. I am 81 years old and ride a recumbent trike that fits in the HHR with the back seats down perfect, just roll in close rear hatch and go. I am glad to be a member and I look forward to reading your suggestions, comments and recommendations on the HHR. Thank you.

Welcome bhopper! Enjoy that ride!

On your 2 wheeler are the peddles located fore or aft of the front wheel?

Your must be like my step dad (a little younger than you -80yo). He goes to the gym & swims, lifts weights, & does the tread mill. You gotta have some back/chest strength to put that bike constantly in the back... With your biking I am sure your legs beat out his "chicken legs" as I call them. (One day he is gonna beat my a--! for saying that.

Thats how I got my 1st car-from grandpa. Made me find a Susan B Anthony coin to pay for it back in '83. Was a '78 Bonneville. Great car till someone stole it, would still have it today if that didn't happen.. A look a like picture is below with same exterior (I had brown metallic vinyl roof) & interior colors....One day I'll scan the real pictures to post.

His daughter (my Mom) had received his '71 Bonneville with a Caddy 500ci when he bought the 78. He loved his Bonneville's.
