Hi all I'm new to this site....
originally I came here because I had a problem with my Panel. But not being a member then I couldn't post. My problem was the Check Engine Light was staying on, earlier today I saw a site with a post saying if the CEL is on the remote start won't work....so I tried my remote start and it worked just fine. I shut it off and used the key to start it and the check engine light went off, problem solved...whatever caused it remains a mystery...

to the forum Mike!

A CEL can be caused sometimes by the most mundane things like a slightly loose or bad gas cap, keep an eye on it as it may reset in the future.

If it does, scoot on over to your local auto parts store and have them pull the code/codes(Autozone, Advance, Napa, and others pull them for free), then post the codes up here and we can give you an idea of what is causing it.

welcome to the forum, mmont50. Might want to get it read, mine was saying something to the dealer when it didn't have any visible to me.
