Newbie Wannabie in PA
Hello,
I finally got approved in this forum. It took what seemed like weeks. Tough crowd. Anyway, I've been reviewing as much HHR info here as I can absorb for about 3 weeks. I am currently driving my Liberty on my 120 mile round trip commute and it's becoming a little expensive as gas prices inch up. So I began looking for more economical wheels. The HHR stood out from the crowd with the satifaction owners express across many points of research I've done. That says a lot to me. The more I've looked into them the more impressed I've become. So my plan is to buy a clean used specimen and share with my wife. Lots of snow here in PA that will require 4X4 for a few months.
I have my eye on a few 2010 LS versions around the 30K miles mark (rentals) for $9999.
Anyway I'm around these forums alot but typically don't post unless I have something valuable to add.
Merry Christmas all!

Mr. Q to the group. You live in "god's" country! I am originally from the Blair County area.I have a 2006 2LT that I really like. I too drive 120 miles RT each day and drove a 4X4. I got tired of paying $$$$ for gas so I parked it. My HHR gets 30-34mpg mostly interstate driving. I have no complaints with the HHR at this time and highly recommend a HHR.
Good luck with your purchase and Merry Christmas!!
P.S. Look for a 2LT
Nice to meet you and welcome!
I've been on the lookout for an good lookin HHR I might be able to afford next year. I just literally got approved to post as well and look forward to hanging with this crowd.
I'm still driving my first car and have owned it for over 6 years.
My 1992 Chrysler Lebaron GTC, with 220,000 miles on the body. Did an auto to manual transmission conversion on this sharp looking convertible.

Thank you
Thank you to all welcomers. Like I said I'm looking forward to soon having an HHR and spending time in this forum learning about about them. It looks like a great place. Happy Holidays everyone.
Welcome.
Avoid a Rental. If you can. Some options are Disabled on the rental units.(No remote start for one) I LOVE that option myself.
Besides the Fact that rentals get the crap beat out of them by most renting them. LOL
The LT has more standard options buying used you might want to look into a 1LT or 2LT.
Compare the LS, 1LT, and 2LT for an option set that Fits your wants/needs.
Since I was buying a used one myself, I got a 2LT with the options I wanted.
Resale on the HHR is LOW so you can Option UP on a used one very Nicely.
