2008 Charger "test drive"

Kinda of anyway.... A co-worker ordered one for a customer this year and when it arrived it wasn't "equiped" like they thought it would be. We ordered a police package with the street appearance package as they requested . SO we had to find a new home for it and one of my customers was happy to take it (they already have one similiar). They are picking it up tomorrow so I took it down to get cleaned up. First I noticed the very strange Dodge key fob.

Yep, thats it, not a swichblade or steletto type, just that. The part with the panic button fits in the dash.

So I fired it up (non Hemi BTW) and adjusted the seat. Comfy. Go to put it in gear and find the most god awful shifter I have ever used. It point almost straight up in park and very ackward to put in to gear, then the gear handle covers the radio volumn . I take off, feels like good power. I feel every pebble in the road though. I hit the turn signal and notice it is mounted low on the left side and I actually hit the mini stalk for the cruise control. It's about as big as a pencil and I was scared of breaking it.

Ran good, seats felt good, controls.....sucked. I sure hope the Challenger will be better....
