Oh you people with the round cars are tough!

Other than the Mustang, Ford doesn't have anything with even a glimmer of style in it. I think gas at 4 bucks + a gallon will kill this thing before it gets to the dealerships. I still think it looks cooler than an expedition or explorer anyday!

This is similar to a "Futura" concept they had a year or so ago, which was supposed to be a retro-wagon, but nobody took it seriously because:

* it had no back seat
* testers would not be available unless you specified every last little thing you wanted in the car right down to the shape of the @$$-grooves in the driver's seat.

Thats an insult to Range Rover!

I too think it looks like crap. One needs smooth corners to feel good, not sharp objects.

I personally like it. I've been waiting for it to come out to see it in person since it was announced. It's a big sized crossover (my car's still longer though, heh heh), and yet Ford promises some of the best EPA mileage rating among large seven passenger vehicles. I'm yet to find any numbers.

I have to hand it to you MrMarquis... That is the first I've ever seen an 80's Marquis immortalized in an avatar sig on the net in any car forum. Actually its pretty well done, your sig pic. Unusual for sure, and certainly unexpected, but well executed.

I'm not the only one. It's a niche, that's for sure. I love the big older cars, and found a bunch of others that do to at www.grandmarq.net. It's insane what some people have done with 'em.

The Marquis has a lot of work to come. She's fine as is, but I've got big plans for her. I'm waiting for my HHR so that I can start to work on her.

And my favorite part...My first car is older than I am.
