2010 Equinox
2010 Equinox
Has the redesigned Equinox come out yet? It says on Chevy's site it's due out in the summer of 2009. Has anyone seen it yet?
From what I read, it has the same engine as the HHR but a 6-speed automatic transmission. This may help with highway mileage above 60 mph. I lose 4 mpg between 60 and 75. With my arthritic knees, it can very hard to get in and out of my HHR. The Equinox could solve that problem.
If you have news, please share it. This vehicle very well may replace my HHR.

I don't believe they are out yet...I haven't seen any, and usually here in Michigan you see some on the road with manufacturer plates first! :)
Anyways, it might be some time because it says summer, and well, it isn't quite summer yet. Also, once they hit dealer lots, most dealers will only get a few at a time, and usually new cars sell fast... It might be a few months until you see quite a few on a dealers lot. You may have to settle on a few options if you want to be the first one on the block...lol

Haven't seen it yet, Look for it at dealer's come Late Aug to Early Sept. Provided GM is not in Bankruptcy protection. If that happens I'm not sure if they will hold off on production or not.
It does look Nice though inside and outside.

I thought that the Orlando was supposed to replace the HHR in 2011. It even has running boards (wonder if they'll be optional). Nevertheless, the Orlando will meld into the sea of undistinguishable, vanilla transportation appliances and will never have the character that the HHR has.
And even though the Orlando will take the place of the HHR from Chevrolet's perspective, it will never replace the HHR as far as the members of this forum are concerned.
