Wow... It's not exactly the same spot, but I guess they never said anything about lightning striking 3 times in the same town!

That would be one of the most kickass things to see in a lifetime (lightning hitting a tree, not a person ). I've never even seen it hit the ground. My lawyer, who has a farm with cattle, said that they lost quite a few cows because they were standing in water and lightning struck

We see that all too often up on the panhandle. A coworker had just completed her new house when it was struck by lightning and burned to the ground. Another coworker lost her daughter who was struck while walking between classes at her middle school. Why those buildings do not have interior hallways, I don't know!

The Blue Angels are having an air show today and tomorrow at Pensacola Beach. I just hope the weather cooperates and no one is injured.

Last year our house was struck by lightning. Those who say it sounds like a bomb going off are right. Everything on the 220 side was hit. The oven actually caught on fire inside, totally frying the heat element. The dryer was also hit, but all we had to replace was the cord. We had the central air looked at and they replaced some wiring to be safe, but it looks like it was OK. Good thing we were home and had a fire extinguisher close by. I think that's the most scared my kids have ever been. Bradley was absolutly terrified for quite a while after that everytime it stormed.
