I remember that day like it happened yesterday. I am originally from NY but living in CA. My brother had a client at the towers and it took me almost 5 hours to get through to find out he wasn't there that day. My nephew saw the 2nd tower come down from his dorm room window.

I was working at GM-Detroit/Hamtramck, and we had just gotten out of a production meeting and the first hit was on CNN, and they shut the TVs off to restart the lines. We didn't know what was going on, but it didn't look like an accident, even at first glance...

We lost a friend that day.

The 9/11 Memorial is impressive. If you ever get to NYC. It gave me chills that I feel now even trying to think about it. We touched his name, among so many that were there.

We cannot forget.

 

I know I will Never Forget ..... 9/11 is also my birthday.
Needless to say there was no party for me.
I got up that morning out here on the West coast and turned the TV on only to find this terrible event happening right before my eyes.
It truly shocked me to my core and left me totally confused and angry for a considerable time afterwards.
I can still see it clearly in my mind.....
