Well i took my hhr to the dealer for the ac not working and yep i had a rock go through the lower (no grill) area of my 06 and pop a hole in my condensor!!
dealership said not covered under warranty 650.00 please!!
So i looked throught the threads here and found the thread on this very subject and called the dealer stating that this was a common occurance and gm had even produced a rock gaurd for this specific problem for the 08`s and newer. So i took this info to the dealer and showed them the thread and how some people had had theirs fixed on gm`s dime!!
I got a call yesterday from my service manager saying that they now would gladly fix and replace all parts at their cost with me paying 0!!!!
So dont let the dealers BS you make them do the right thing!!!

And thanx to all on this site for another problem solved!!!
P.S. getting the mesh lower grill from lowes today!!!!!

I read about someone having the same damage and that was one of the first things I did to mine. Then upgraded to a billet later.

You are lucky. Others had to pay for damage. Better get the car to them quick!
