Jeez!
Excuse me.
So your point was click bait not asking for help. Thanks for wasting my time. Have a nice life.
I am tempted to delete the thread.

Delete it it but it's your loss if you don't understand why it was created, the original intent was to see if anyone else had bought one and knew how to get them working. That wasn't the case. For some reason it turned into a crutchfield advertisement.

So the question is, do you want this post existing to drive people here looking for info on these same radios and learning they aren't plug and play or are you going to delete it pretend it's "click bait" because your feelings got hurt?

I’m going to leave it alone and let future readers decide if it was helpful or not.

Not an advertisement, just letting you know a source for FREE information. I also cited Axxess for FREE information. We don't get anything from them for referrals. I don't know if they make money for clicks.
I suspect that the problem you have is a result of not knowing exactly what to get and what to do with it so, I provided some links for research purposes.

You asked for help, we provided help, you then proclaimed that we wasted our time because you just wanted to produce click bait not get help. I didn't even get a "thank you" for trying to help.

There are plenty "hate Amazon" sites you could patronize to get your message out to the masses, they make money from click bait, we don't need your help.
In Amazon speak "fits" does not mean "works with no modification". It means the dimensions are the same as the hole.
The only drop in solution is to buy a new, never installed head unit made with a blank security chip made for the HHR.
