Another Texas newb

Just want say hello, been checking out the forum for the past week or so, and didn't want to jump in until I knew for sure that I was getting an HHR. My current ride is a fairly heavily modified '05 GT Mustang -

She's tons of fun, but the 60 mile commute each day and $4.50/gal gas is getting a little out of hand, so she's getting a stablemate.

The HHR is, I believe, a 1LT (still not sure of the designations, I've been a Ford guy for 20 years), '08 model, in silver with the ebony interior. It's just a base model, but I have a tendency to modify everything anyway, so it seemed like a nice blank palette to start with. She's going to need running boards though!

I'm picking her up at 1:30 today, so I'm getting a little antsy sitting here at work right now. I'll post some pics up this afternoon.

Sweet looking 'Stang!!

Gotta make sure you get some pics of the HHR so you can remeber what it looked like stock. Oh, how about a pic or two of the two together.

Thanks ya'll! Here's some quickie pics right after I got her home. Plain Jane and ready for some changes. One of the posts I read here showed the part number for the replacement grille shell and a price of around $75. Is that for the chrome piece?

BMC Member #7163! I spend most of my online time at mustangcollective.com, where I'm a moderator. It started out devoted to 4.0 S197's but has since branched out to encompass all Mustangs.
