I was big into to slot cars from a kid.
When I got older found a track that did scale 1/4 mile racing.
Built a few and this was my best car.
I had two 69 SS Chevelles and had to build it.
Thanks Blue
If you noticed the drivers side A pillar you will see the repair I had to do when the car flipped at the top end. Lol.
That's when I added the front air dam spoiler to stop the air from getting under it.
Funny story, my cousin who is 10 years older went into the navy. Since he only had sisters he entrusted me with taking care of his 55 Chevy slot car with a beefed-up motor in it while he was away. One day out of boredom, my brother (2 years younger than me) and I wanted to see how it worked. With no slot car tracks near our home, I came up with a "brilliant" plan. I took an extension cord and cut off the outlet end and stripped the wires. My brother held the wires against the contact of the slot car while I plugged it in. Well you all know what happened, we burned out the motor in seconds and turned my brother's fingernails on his thumbs black. My cousin was not a happy camper when he returned home from his service to our country to find his car with a burned out motor.
FYI, brother no longer trust me when I come up with a "brilliant" idea.
