Anyone have extended warranty an car..

I was wondering if anyone has a non GM extended warranty on any of there vehicles.
I have a 2004 Avalanche that I am going to extend the warranty on.
I have been getting letters from Dealer Services company, but I never heard of them before.
If anyone has a good company they use, let me know.
Thanks

I did not sign up for the extended warranty when we purchased our SS on July 5th. I was surprised when I called Geico to add the SS to our auto policy and they asked me if I wanted the extended warranty for $48 for 6 months. They caught me off guard so I said no but at some point might consider Geico's offer. I have heard that the extended warranty company field is filled with not so reputable companies but Geico should be more than acceptable as well as some other auto insurance companies.

I got one on my HHR because I will keep it for several years. Mine was through the dealer. It was a third party called Advantage. Covers bumper to bumper for 7 years, 100,000 miles. Of course at 32 months of ownership, I only have 15000 miles on it. The warranty will time expire long before I hit 100,000. Miles, not my age

Read the fine print.....usually it's better to buy as you get close to the oem warranty running out.
