Check the BBB, not good company to give your CC too.
They are charging customers before the 30 day trial is over, and it's hard to get your money back when you return the device.
Like someone else said, if you have a fast DSL line, your probably ok.
Google "Clark Howard" and check out his discussion forum.
Very popular talk radio host here in Atlanta, helping people with rip-offs.

I have been using my magicjack on the road and some of you know how much I am on the road. I got the 5 year option and the total for my 5 years is around 130.00. plus got my number in Omaha nebraska so my famly has no reason to call me now that its basically free for them.

I like it.

The reason I asked here was because of a lot of the bad iisues I read about. Thanks to those who have also shared the good!

We bought our Magic Jack in June. Droped our long distance from $100.00 a month to ZERO dollars. Priceless !!

The Issue of 911, it is asked for during set up, as well as assigns a number based on area code. I have a couple of friends one in Texas and Oklahoma that purchased one and they love it.
Call me at 1-936-333-5712 (Magic Jack Number) Listen how clear it is or PM me and I'll call you. Only $19.95 a year after that.
I give it 5 stars.

Thanks all!

BTW, I talked to Everett yesterday before I knew he had this thing, and I could not tell the difference.

I think I'm sold. I'm mainly needing this for long distance faxes and such so i think this will work out great. faxing was the main thing that we missed after getting rid of our land line.
