Baby's First Bath

First weekend of good weather since I bought my HHR. Really enjoyed giving it the first bucket wash. So I now have a gallery set up with pics. Sorry it took so long!

COOL color!! A bucket wash is the way to go. The first time I took mine through the car wash it put 2 dents above the last window on the drivers side! The car wash paid for it but still. I haven't trusted a car wash UNLESS its touchless since!

Hand wash (bucket or spray and wipe) is the ONLY way to go. Automatic car washes, the drive through on tracks type, will scratch your paint. Its the residual grit and dirt that stays in their rollers and wig-wag shammies that does it.

Looked at your gallery pics, Tenn. Looks like a 1LT w/ 2.2 bright group and auto trans. Very good bang-for-the-buck balance of options. But then I'm biased (see sig...).

If they have Marathon gas w/ the STP additives in your area, try it. I was using BP/Amoco but lately have been using Marathon w/ STP and my 2.2 runs better on it than the BP stuff.

Tim...that car looks fantastic. I love the play of color in the shade and the sunlight.
It has rained every weekend since I bought my HHR...except one...the one I got to bucket-wash it.

Looking at how spotless your car is makes me very jealous.

Well, it started raining last night and continued through the day today. So, it's not so clean anymore.

Just another reason to have more bonding time w/ your HHR.
