The second bailout just has a bunch of pork thrown in, but basically the same. It's like putting a little sprinkle of sugar on your cowpie before you eat it. My 2 NJ Senators voted for it, and will NOT get my vote in November. Earlier in the week, my Congressman voted for it, and he is also up for re-electiona, and also will not get my vote. It seems odd that the Republicans are mostly turning it down, even though their party initiated this nonsense. I don't like the haste in which this is being rammed through. How quick did Congress act when we ALL were struggling with $4 a gallon gas? Were still waiting. I'd like to see this problem wait until the next regime, give us more time to think.

I'm totally against any bailout. The execs will only find some way to put it in their pockets. It seems for a bailout to succeed, it would take somewhere in the neighbourhood of $4.5 trillion dollars . Let the investors eat the dust and let's start over again, only this time let's get some restrictions and decent policy in place before any execs can rape their own company or blow the cash.
It would help if the people in the North America would buy N.A. products. This type of stuff will support everyone's job and the economy.
Yes, I am a member of the CAW, same as the UAW. We started a saying about 15 years ago,"Hungry, out of a job...Eat your Import!" Seems some things are just beginning...

After president Bush inks his signature we will now officially have a defacto communist government. Five years from now we will be reading about all the corruption and fraud from the people who are given this money and then pocketed it.

I find it interesting that as the public opinion on this turns negative that the politicians get closer to an agreement....

I'm sorry, WHO do they work for?

Your probably right on that one diskullman, I was watching the poll here and it seems to be be going more against than in the begining.
