PA recently repealed a law that required all motorcycle drivers to wear helmets maybe they should reinstate it.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Big Ben, his family and fellow teammates. Hopefully he'll pull through this and be able to return to football. This is a very unfortunate accident which was not his fault, but I don't believe in anyone riding a motorcycle without a helmet. God speed Ben.

Well what can you say. Yes he is stupid for not wearing a helment. Of course you never want to see someone hit and hurt and sure do not want to see it happen to someone who may have just tossed his career away and so much talent. I am so pi**ed as a steelers fan.
I can not belive anyone would still think it will never happen to me. I belive it should be your right to buckle up or wear a helment, but you a stupid if you dont.

Tonight I will pull out the jersey and the terriable towel and pray to it all night.

Well it sounds like eventually Ben "ToothlessBurger" will be o.k. He should consider himself lucky to be alive!

"ToothlessBurger" ? Hey he did not lose them all I agree he is one very lucky guy. No time table yet, but it could be 8 weeks to a couple of months to recover.

Here's an update I found while searching for info on his condition. Apparently the only major injuries were to his face: a broken upper and lower jaw, a loss of two teeth, a broken nose, broken facial bones and various cuts and bruises. According to reports I have read, he should be released in the next several days and should be able to play in the season opener.

What I find a little disturbing is the fact that he did not have a Valid Motorcycle license. He did have a permit, however, that expired in March.

May he continue to heal and get better. My continued thoughts and prayers remain with him until he recovers fully.
