I agree w/the ZZ Top choices - not a lot of car-oriented songs, but definitely cool cruising music. That's another band that frequently gets rotated on the iPod in the mornings as we cruise down the freeway on the way to work.

How about Molly Hatchet, Flirtin with Disaster..... EA Sports liked it too, their first NASCAR Play Station Game Theme song.

Many moons ago.............
Would play "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins when headed out to the street drags.
And because my Suzuki Sidekick was named "Suzi", I would start blaring "Wake Up Little Suzi" when sitting on the starting line.
Back to current day......
No longer having the "race bug" anymore, I kinda latched on to "Mud On The Tires" by Brad Paisley. The song opens "I've got some big news, the bank finally came through, and I'm holding the keys to the brand new Chevrolet."
