Angry Buried In Snow In Denver

As many of you know, I live in Denver, Colorado. I am sure most of you have heard we have a major blizzard going on. Both major highways that go across the entire state both north/south (I-25) and east/west (I-70) are closed from border to border. Our airport DIA was shut down yesterday and will be closed until at least tomorrow and there are people stranded out there that they are trying to get to at least a hotel near the airport.

I was at my house and loaded up Smoke and headed to my boyfriends when I realized how bad it was going to get. What normally takes 10 minutes, took almost an hour. The roads are now totally impassable in the residential areas and we have been advised not to go out unless it's an emergency...like we can get out.

I took some photos of the surroundings in my boyfriends mobile home park. You can see them by visiting my livespaces HHR page....43 in all. I'm on dialup so Jesse aka Oh-Skool is uploading them to my photobucket album so I can post a few here. Will post some here when he's done.

Anyone want some snow?

I got cold looking at these pictures then I had to outside to make sure we are still at 80 around here. I never use my heater only the A/C but sometimes I do wish we would get cold here.

It's pretty wild...we're working on hitting a record of 31" that was set in March 2003.

For more info and to see more about what's going on here visit http://9news.com Lots of goodies there. No mail service, most businesses are shut down...even shopping malls and grocery stores.

Reminds me of my brothers house a few years back in Minnesota. People were actually shoveling off their roofs to relieve some of the weight.

Better have some big vehicles to do that Julian. I just walked across the street to the neighbors and snow was past my knees, nearly mid thigh and I'm 5'5" tall.
