There is a guy with a snow machine that rents it to people to make snow for their yards... Cover the septic tanks..

I 'm thinking to keep them from freezing??? Aren't they below the frost line? Hmm, what is your frost line depth??

Boy does that bring back bad memories. While living in Iceland, they had a contest in JUNE to pick the date and time the pile of snow removed from the AFB flight line would finally all melt!
I was hoping you were doing ok, Deb. Keep warm and don't shovel too much snow. It's not good for the body!
My son was supposed to fly out of Colorado Springs on Wednesday but chose the 11 am flight instead of the really early one. He didn't make it and is on his was to Dallas right now. He'll arrive home this afternoon. I think the only thing he dislikes about AFA is the weather up there!

Keep us posted.
Everything is starting to melt...but it's going to take many days/weeks to get rid of the huge piles of snow. The roads in and out of the mobile home park are passable, so we are no longer shut off from the outside world. Denver International Airport will be re-opening in another hour or so, which means we'll get back to some sense of normalcy. There are still many neighborhoods in the metro area that have not been plowed, so many are still stranded unless they have a good 4 wheel drive to make a path through the snow.
Smoke survived very well through all of this and is happy that the snow around him has been moved. The mounds you see around him were not actually on him...they were drifts caused by the wind and snow that fell off the neighbors trees and wood patio cover. We did have to shovel a path behind the driveway once the loader went thru, but they were very good about not blocking the driveways, so shoveling was minimal.
You folks in the warm climates...please send more sun our way...we have some now, but could use as much as we can get.
