Cadillac El Dorado

I never heard this before. It's in an item on my Yahoo home page this morning.

"The Cadillac Eldorado captured the country’s imagination in 1952 as a cutting-edge concept made into a reality. And 50 years later, it was unceremoniously axed to make room for the Chevy HHR,"

The Eldorado wikipedia says production stopped in 2002 when the Lansing Craft Centre was retooled to make the SSR - our pickup truck older brother.

Either way, very interesting!

As the article states, the actual replacement was the XLR, which I liked too. I wonder if there's a market for it now based on C7.
