June/09 sales report that the new Camaro outsold the Mustang. Camaro sales were 9320 to Mustang's 7362. This is the first time Camaro has outsold the 'Stang since 1993.

maybe that's because it's the 1st camaro to give some real competition.....i don't see many camaros on the road....maybe they are still scared

Couple things you have to keep in mind:

1) The Camaro hasn't been around for a couple of years
2) The Camaro is the current new "Hot" car to have

The big question is if the Camaro will sustain the sales numbers after all the hoopla of it returning wears off.

I've seen a lot more 010 Mustangs on the road than new Camaros here in San Diego.

 

Camaro power will overide the Mustang, SS vs Cobra. The GT can't beat the HHR SS w/Stage Kit.

 

Has anyone done a real track comparison of the Mustang GT against the HHR SS/Stage 1? The GT/Track Pack has been shown to outrun the Camaro SS/manual on 0-60 and barely loses on the 1/4 in several reviews.

This new ponycar era seems to be a lot like the 5.0 vs. IROC-Z/28 wars from 20 years ago. Mustang is the lighter, more efficient platform versus the heavier, more powerful platform in the Camaro. Challenger is so bloated is isn't even worth mentioning, way to go Dodge, but they are a fine looking machine.
