Canadian Auto Sales Soar

I came across an article today showing that this years February sales in Canada are up for every auto maker. GM had sales increase 14% (highest of all domestics) and Honda was up 53.2% and Mitsubishi up 59.2%. Overall, sales were up 14.3%.

That's a pretty hefty increase in sales up North. Now, if only I could find a decently priced HHR SS I would help these numbers go up even more!

That is most likely bad news for anyone looking and waiting for any kind of discount or incentives in Canada,

So Mike when your shopping.... price out a two package deal…… and I’ll buy one with you, getting ripped on our trade in's of course.

I was in on the weekend talking with my dealer. He called to let me know that they had gotten their first SS. I went to test drive it and talk to him. As you indicated, Ray, there will not be any incentives or deals or anything on the SS. He said he might be able to give me that SS for about $32,000 (about $1,300 below window sticker price.) I really didn't see the SS package being worthy of my cash, as much as I'd like one. My 06 will have to do for another year or two (or more depending on if and when I buy a condo/house.)

It was nice that the dealership decided to keep the SS as a demo and not sell it right away. I lit up those tires a few times and started to burn up the brakes. That thing is going to be abused big time. It only had 30Km when I took it out and I laid the hammer down.
