That's one of the reasons I like Foreigner. One of my moms friends was real close friends with Lou Gramm while in high school. There was a country bar called Hoo-Haws in Sodus. Me and some of my buddies used to go there on Thursday nights because it was like a regular top 40 club night. I would get hammered and ride the mechanical bull. Good times but I could have got them in trouble if the cops ever raided the place because I was slightly under age using fake ID.

Yep, that was the place! I played there like 12yrs ago w/a band called: "Clevelend".

I think Hoo-Haw's had a "sister" club in Buffalo called "Howdy's?

Well, I don't really know the Captain. But I find him morally reprehensive. Anyone who on the outside seems lovable and harmless but turns out to be a real horror story is a blight on society. Captain, one day those flames on your HHR won't be the only flames you will come to know...

Nah I have flames tattooed on me also. I don't believe in hell or heaven so that don't make a difference to me. Being agnostic liberates you from lots of guilt from things that you really shouldn't make a person feel guilty for. If I don't feel what I'm doing is a sin that how could it be? I have my own set of values and virtues which are different than most religions. I live my life righteously in my own eyes. I won't let anyone or anything tell me how I should live my life and what I should and shouldn't do. The funny thing is I am a better person than most of the so called Christians I know and follow the 10 commandments better also. I don't judge people because of their race, beliefs, religion, or sexual preference either, which not one Christian I know can say the same. Christianity and the after life is way over rated.

It's good to know that there are others on the site. Sometimes I get the feeling I'm the only non Christian on here. :)

Just so there is no confusion, I was just sticking with the "roast" theme in my commentary. Your Homer Simpson avatar and Captain Howdy name seem so non-threatening. But little did I know that Captain Howdy is an Exorcist reference (that's why you are a real horror story!). The rest was just for dramatic effect

I can certainly accept your chosen path. While I consider myself a Christian, I have turned against organized religion over the past few years. The last church I attended spent way too much time telling me what to think and how to conduct my life. And the current political/religious situation only reinforces my feelings. I have now adopted the philosophy of the movie "Stigmata", that 'the kingdom of God is within me' and I don't need the church in order to have a relationship with God. I can certainly agree with you that some people who call themselves Christians are some of the worst people.

This roast went up in flames! BUT, this an admirable trait of the Captain, he will take on any topic or temporarily hijack or prolong hijacking of threads! This is the toast of the testament of Captain Howdy.....and Boy Howdy! Is the bug jar still around? or is that in Buffalo, I can't remember, but I saw Nashville P**y there, great show! I am more of an Odhinnist/Universalist, but this is a roast, not a theology thread! We had one of those already Anyhow, keep up the good work Capt!

Yup it's still on Monroe Ave. and what a weird little place it is. I have been there a few times but it still trips me out that the furniture is on the ceiling. That is like the big alternitive / art croud hang out around here. I usually stick to hole in the wall or biker bars where people are there to drink and shoot pool. It is cool to check out some different clubs every now and again though. I think I have been to just about all of them in my area.
