Not to be introduced in the USA
They want to push the Equinox rather than a HHR replacement. The Equinox I4 has had lots if issues with poor mileage and computer issues.

This kind of bugs me, too. I'm a GM employee, though I have zip to do with these kind of decisions. IF the Equinox is to be protected from a smaller SUV, then, fine.
WHERE IS OUR WAGON??? A Cruze wagon would not compete with the Equinox, and seem to fit beautifully in the lineup. I think there's some common sense missing from this picture. Maybe there's still too many people who don't think higher MPG and a lower price tag are good things... I don't really understand it. Both HHR and Vibe owners are feeling this, BTW. Glad you brought it up, though.
What does everybody else think?

I looked at the Buick Encore on their web site. Looks ok, but no price listed. I'm unsure of what I-4 engine they are using (148 HP ?) in a heavy car My 2.4L in the HHR seems like a "good" fit (170+ HP). Luxury version with a 6 speed auto with 5th gear 1.00 and 6th 0.74 .

Bet on the 2.0L turbo in the Encore when it comes out, so more power for most, but it still doesn't touch on "where's the wagon for people who can't afford a CTS?" Really. That's where a lot of us here are.
