Chicago Sun-Times write-up.
This is from the 7-30-09 autos section of the Chicago Sun-Times:
Families can have fun with flexible HHR
July 30, 2009

The Chevy HHR is one of those vehicles that is instantly recognizable. Sure, it has PT Cruiser-like fender flairs and a cool grille treatment similar to the big-selling Chrysler retro offering, but that’s where the similarities end.
Add the SS Turbo configuration to this stylish compact SUV and you have yourself a fun day at the races that will allow you to bring the family along. Seriously, you won’t win any races anywhere with the HHR SS, nor with the lighter LS and LT versions, but you may win over the family with great function and versatility.

SSPD
Way to go, Nice clipping. I love my HHr 2LT (SS) I just picked mine up from a dealership, It went in for a tune up and a cleaning of the Injectors and I had to have the Speed sencer replaced and now it runs like the day I purchased her 40 months ago and my HHr has 103.269 mile on it as of now and it still looks good too. We need to g2g again soon when Tom beck back from his Wedding and honeymoon.
see ya soon.

Here's another mistake in the article: The article reported that the tested SS version was an automatic, yet it reported the car had Brembo brakes and LSD differential.... features only available in the 5SP manual version.

PT Hater
I have posted this before but I get sick of the PT Loser comparison. The HHR is tough as nails. My SS also has won plenty of stop light races.
2009 HHR SS Red, Auto, Sunroof, Remote Start, I am still waiting to upgrade the soundsystem. The dealer said they were unable to upgrade there. So hopefully soon. The ipod jack is a nice touch though.
