Smile Congrats to Trevor Bayne! The 500 Winner

Congrats to Trevor Bayne and all of the folks at Wood Brothers Racing, I might be a Chevy guy but I tell you that kid did a fantastic job today! Winning the Daytona 500 is a dream come true for any driver, winning it in your first start is amazing. Even though my guy only made it to lap 28, I'm happy to see a new face and a really nice guy in victory lane.

No offense to the kid, but when you really think about it, lady luck fell in his lap. If it wouldnt have been a green/white/checker we would have seen a different scenario.

Maybe so, but like any other race or sporting event, you can "what it" yourself to death....still doesn't change the outcome. Trust me, I still have this Steelers fan grumbling about bad plays and missed opportunities in the Super Bowl.

I know what you mean, it all comes down to "right place, right time". Dont beat yourself up about football, like NASCAR and every other sport out there, its just a bunch of over paid people trying to entertain us.

Green, white, checker is the only way these restrictor plate races are going to end. Last year Daytona had the maximum I believe. Just too many three-wides at the end. I love it. Am mad at Robbie Gordon - he had no right going back on that track after going low. He wasn't up to speed and caused Jr. to wreck unnecessarly.

The kid showed some remarkable poise in the biggest race of his young career. Stayed near the front for most of the race, and kept the big boys behind him when it counted. Of course having the best car the Wood Bros have fielded in 10 years didn't hurt, either.
