Cutting up....

Today I went and finally bought the mower I wanted and needed. My 17hp 46" John Deere rider was struggling to do our 2 acres, So, finally dove in and got the Cub Cadet Ultima ZT2 54" 23hp zero turn ordered.

Bonez- Congrats & Prepare to be spoiled.

I have a Toro Z w/Kawasaki engine. I bought it new back in Aug 2014 (Toro's 100 year anniversary). It is a beast & cuts so beautifully.

Don't forget to do the early (usually 8 hour) oil change, to start it off the right way. What Engine does it have ? What size wheel motors (Pumps) ?

Once you run a Z, most never go back. I won't.

All the specs are here, Kawasaki engine, larger tires..... its pretty well loaded
One reason I went with the ZT2 instead of the ZT1 is the transmissions are serviceable on the ZT2 where the ZT1 have to be completely replaced. pluse the seat adjusts and so much more. Plus Cub has the longest warranty (5yrs) on their mowers. I am getting mine cheaper than the listed price ( discounts ) but instead of saving all that I added a nice redmax trimmer to the deal ( still less than the list ) win / win

Excellent, you have same engine as mine. It is a Torque Monster. You will love it..
And I see ZT 2800 pumps. Nice set up. Yep serviceable.

Nice machine. In the specs I see 3 year, with unlimited hour warranty. ? & lifetime on Frame & deck, same as mine as well.

I would suggest never using the under Deck wash, it just gets cold water into hot greased spindles.

Scag Liberty has a 5 Year warranty.

That Ultima is sweet.

After a lifetime of push mowers, then Lawn and Yard Tractors, I got my first Zero Turn about 7 or 8 years ago.
It was a Toro Timecutter 50 and it changed my life. Bought it new and beat that thing into the ground but it just kept on rocking.
Finally got an Exmark a couple of years ago and wish I had bit the bullet earlier. That thing just goes and goes!

The downside is, once you go Zero Turn, you really can't stand old style riders anymore.

Very cool, & agree 100% Ain't no going back for me either.

Exmark is owned by Toro, it is their top tier for machines.

There is a new sale starting tomorrow, so the dealer called and postponed the sale so I can get in on it ( Save $200 + free delivery ) with the savings I had them throw in a nice redmax trimmer with 3 cans premix for the 4 yr warranty. They will be calling tomorrow to set up the delivery and sign paperwork when they get here. Grass has been growing wild all month so its ready for the beast ! I did drop down to the 50" so it will go through the back gate, rear yard is too big for using a push mower. Im excited and ready !!

Bonez- Cool to hear. Makes sense, everyone likes saving dough. And about switching to a 50".. Isn't much help if you can't get it to the yard.

Friend went up to a 61" Z & he has rolling land. It is too big as it gouges some dips & can't cut in between. (short version) he is push mowing more that before.

Are you still getting the Kawasaki Engine ? And cool about the 4 yr warranty. Mine was only 3.

Ive been hating this rider for the past 5 years, the turning radius sucks and making 500 ovals to just get around each tree ( exaggerating, but still LOL )
