Dad update, updated

Well things are much improved on the medical front. Dad had a pretty good day today with all the sedation removed and no mental impairment evident. By lunchtime that had him sitting up and pretty much unhooked from every machine the hospital owns. We are very encouraged by things considering the shape he was in on Monday morning. My lovely wife went clothes shopping this afternoon so we are now equipped with enough to wear without looking like bums. A check with the neighbor taking care of our cats has indicated that when we get home we'll be met with tiny protest signs and furry cold shoulders. Well that's it for now, gonna catch up on what I've missed here and then catch a few ZZZZZ's.

Wonderful news and the cats will get over it (when they feel like it).

I suppose these updates are maybe getting a bit old, so I'll keep this one short. We've snuck out for a late lunch while they have Dad in a chair, he managed to walk down the hall to the nurses station today, so a huge improvement. The doctors are thinking he may be released as early as Saturday, we'll see. The did move him to a private room and out of intensive care, so much quieter, the ICU is very noisy. Well that's it for now, thanks for umm...listening...reading...well you know what I mean.

Glad to hear/read that dad's getting better! I didn't realize you were going through such an ordeal, but very happy to hear that there's a silver lining for you.

Be Well!

Another day in hospital world but things are better on the Dad front. He has no memory of what happened and is quite surprised by the fuss being made, I guess not remembering is good. Still looking like they'll spring him Saturday, I've made arrangements for nursing care to take the load off of Mom, she's holding up well....but its been a rough couple of days. Looking like we'll be back to North Carolina on Sunday, maybe our cats will speak to us by Tuesday, maybe not. That's all on the medical for for tonight, thanks again for the support from everybody.
