To answer the meaning of GWARs name.
From Wikipedia:
The origin and meaning of the band's name has been disputed by fans. One explanation circulating among fans is that GWAR is an acronym for "God What an Awful Racket!" Another rumor suggests that the name may have come from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' graphic novel, Watchmen, in which a sign reads "Pink Triangle LIVE at the Gay Women Against Rape Benefit Concert." Another widely accepted explanation is found in the Death Piggy (a precursor to GWAR) CD booklet: "Drunken friend shouted Guargh!...You should use that as a band name".
However, band members have insisted from their inception that the letters in their name do not stand for anything. Lead singer and founding member Dave Brockie has been quoted as saying "...it doesn't mean Gay Woman Against Rape. It doesn't mean Great White Aryan Race. It doesn't mean Gay Weird Anal Reprobates. Hey Captain,
You ever go to "Chiller Theatre " Convention in the Meadowlands?
It has all things horror, from has been actors to the Ramones and GWAR!
I hung out with GWAR at one of the cons.
The Cons are not quite as good a they used to be since ebay came out, but still a fun diversion. I'm sure you would find it up your ally
My wife and I set up at the shows for ten years. We sold a lot of horror, anime stuff, and foreign porn!
Especially the latter 
I made a friend who plays in an international touring band, Electric Frankenstine. They played Europe and the US. I'm not sure if they are still together though.
The Ramones played at the October Halloween show a few times.
Mick Taylor formerly of the Rolling Stones was there two years back playing with the house band. My friend set in with them and played. Kinda fun.
Sometimes things got to real when I would see an original John Wayne Gacey painting form sale, or something to do with Jeffery Dhamer
Anyway, just figured I'd point it out. It is a unique convention and has the melding of music and horror.

recommended are : "seasons in the abyss", "raining blood", "post mortem", "angel of death"

With my Slayer pic? I'll remove it if you think that goes too far Frank. I didn't mean to offend you, and if I did I'm sorry. I thought of it as a joke but maybe it's a joke in bad taste.
