Not a new design, 1994 or 1995 . I never saw that video before. But the black mark 8 was for sale on ebay last year. I think the high bid was about
$ 14,000
One of the doors was not working, and it did not make the reserve.
story was lincoln ran the design team on the 2 prototypes with jatech.
The program was to expensive, and both cars were to be destroyed.
One was and one was,nt I think the car was in the chicaoland area.

I saw one of those custom car TV shows, and they did a car with those kind of doors. Besides the complexity and cost the other real world downside is that if you ever use it in the rain it will get the inside of the door really wet as it rolls down.

I can just imagine trying to get out after driving a couple of hours in freezing weather over slushy roads. At least the windows would still work for a Dukes of Hazzard style entry/egress.
