DJ Flipside

Hey all you hip hop fans!!! I just thought I would share this with you, 'cause if you are a fan of hip hop this is GREAT music to rock out to in your HHR! DJ Flipside is a world class DJ that mixes live every day in the 5:00 traffic jam on B96 in Chicago. His daily mixes are available for the low price of FREE, that's right, FREE on itunes. They can be found by searching 'b96' and selecting any of the 'podcasts'. You can put them on your ipod or burn them to a CD. I find that the sound quality is better when burning them to a CD, as the bass hits harder than the ipod connection. Anyhow, I hope someone finds as much enjoyment from this as I do. You can also check out DJ Flipside info at the following link:

ENJOY!!!

I grew up listening to a wide variety of music. My dad loved big band music but I was a child of the '60s and '70s so rock and roll and pop where my choices. I even loved dancing to disco in the '80s.

While stationed overseas, the Armed Forces Network would play a different type of music every hour. It didn't turn me on to hip hop but I did aquire a preference to country music. In all reality, it's todays version of pop. That's what I've been chosing lately, how, XM46 has some great classic rock all the time!

I like a very wide variety of music, but todays hip-hop doesn't do much for me.

Rap by any other name is still not music.Poetry put to a beat is more like it.The beatniks did it first back in the late '50s and early '60s anyhow. Give me classic rock and blues anyday over that stuff.Oh yeah, almost forgot...DEATH BEFORE DISCO!!

You must not listen to a lot of hip hop and rap because some dudes are far from poets.
