Interesting...I agree that we cannot be the only lifeforms in the space that never ends....the real question is, WHY would they visit here...obviously if they COULD visit here they would be a whole lot more intellligent and advanced then we are, and probably learn most of what they need without landing here,, so why bother? Would we waste our time ( and rsources) if we found say an insect type bug low life creature planet when we were looking for better? ( Heh heh- StormTroopers!) Unless..they were returning to check progress or better worse still, they needed replacements and resources.....is there anything special here that would attract them when there is a godzillion space miles of places to go? ( Literal needle in a haystack). We have been pumping radio waves INTO and looking for radio waves incomming for many many years now,,,, don't you think something would have answered by now? There is probably quite a few "blue" planets out there....its an interesting thought though.....and unless something spectacular happens we probably will never know....besides we only have 2 years left.........( snicker)
You do realize the hornets nest you just swatted with this questioning , right?

3. After spending 22 yrs in the Military I know I've seen UFO's in the air and even on the Roadway. I might have been feeling really good when I was in the driver seat when God was driving but there where times I seen a UFO in front of me as God was watching me drive.

Who is to say that they too use radio waves? Maybe they can't pick them up, or maybe they don't understand them? Who knows....

It's interesting you asked this today as we just talked about this in my physics class this afternoon. Do I believe aliens exist? No, but I do believe that the odds are against us that we're the only intelligent life in the entire universe. My professor told us it would take 93 million light years to reach from one end of the visible universe to the other and that's only the 4% we can see...

There are planet systems just like ours by the billions, We are not alone, But this world be be long gone before it can be proven.

I find this topic the most intresting as space amazes me.

Anyone else think that we are the aliens that we're looking for?

I stand behind my statement.

What I can't figure out...

Why is it that aliens and zombies always, always prefer the taste of human flesh over, say... A Quarter Pounder with cheese?

"Say Mr. Alien/Zombie, care for a big juicy burger?"

"Uh, no! I want to rip out some human entrails and shove them bloody and raw into my face!"

You gotta remember the travel time. If the planet is 100 light years away, it will take 100 years to get there and 100 years to get back.

Just look up in the sky at night, especially if you live away from any city light. Billions and billions of stars out there, you think it's just us?
