Dodge has a different targeted buying market than Chevrolet.

The HHR is aimed at a much broader buyer profile. The Caliber is aimed more towards the younger market.

Yea.. no offense to ya'll, but it seems the older generations are the main buyers, the ones looking for the retro styling, but the market is still spread over a wide range.

I would much rather be seen driving around in an HHR than a Caliber ANYDAY! . For one the Caliber is Ugly! The HHR has way more room in it. And anyway.... the HHR is WAY COOLER!

I'm the older generation (60+) and have to admit the HHR is a style that appeals to me and the Caliber does look like it is for the younger gen. I did test drive one when my wife was looking for a higher mpg than the Jeep Cherokee she had but didn't like it, but my teen age son loved it. The wife ended up with the Compass, which is directed towards the females (Chrysler even said that). The HHR is still on my list for this Spring.

I really don't like the styling of the Caliber.. I looked up the "hooked up" Calibers on Cardomain, and I don't think they look really unique after wheels, lights, and billet grills.. They all still look the same to me.. Friggin' mini-Durangos

The HHR, however, can be a piece of art in my opinion...

Ain't that the truth! I am headoverheels for the slick, retro styling... plus it reminds me of ECTO1, my dream car!
