Down the Boulevard of Broken Cars

I'm working an internship at an insurance company in Indiana this summer and they took us out to Insurance Auto Auctions where totaled cars are sold off. I thought you guys might enjoy seeing some pictures.

I can't get imgur to work since they just redesigned their site and had to leave the pictures on google photos/picasa for the time being. Apparently the links they provide are tiny thumbnails, so you can go to google photos album to see full-size versions.

First off, a moment of silence for our fallen comrades who got a little more than just "battle scars".

This one is absolutely obliterated. Wonder what happened...

This was was getting towed in as we drove away. I just barely got a picture of it; thought the light on the back was interesting.

And here are just some general pics from the rest of the place.

The forum got angry because I had too many pictures; go to the google photos album to see the rest.

Dealing in fleets, I get to go to the auctions occasionally. It's a fast paced event.

Absolutely. They have lots of people there in person and there are bidders from all over the world online as well. They actually have two lanes going at the same time with separate auctioneers. Lots of fast-talking and screaming in that area (also free coffee and donuts!)

My local Mall Security uses an HHR with that funny kind of light on the roof.

Only 2 lanes? You should see the big auctions. The local one here is one of the biggest, I think I saw 5 active lanes and a few non-active.

This link is also in my sig. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...ur-post-52643/

That must get pretty chaotic!

I know about uploading pictures here, but I try to only use that for stuff I need up permanently because of the 80MB account limit.

Also, not sure if the number is accurate or if the forum just stops counting after that number, but happy 10,000th post! (assuming the former of the two)
