The Saab does have a nice transmission. I test drove a 2006 Saab 9-3 SportCombi Aero on Monday. It was a rocket to drive. I found the manual mode in the automatic to be a bit rough but it was still pretty nice.

Almost thought about getting one of those but I didn't like the bright green backlit buttons and instruments and I didn't like the complexity of the radio and all the controls. I don't mind lots of technology as long as it logical to use. The Saab was not logic at all.

The Saab has the same M45 tranny as the Equinox. It will probably end up in more GM vehicles as it is proven. It took a while for the old TH350 to disappear too, but we finally got OD in everything.. It is just another step.

My Acura RSX had a 5 speed auto/manual "Sportshift". I'm amazed that I only got one speeding ticket in that car.

160 horses in a 2600 pound car. ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The ford fusion has a standard six speed auto transmission on the v6 models. i test drove one before i got an hhr and it wasn't that bas but a four door sedan wasn't really what i wanted.

Now your talking!!!!!! Here in Dayton,,,we're a GM town...but maybe not for long......So buy American (Owned) Manufactured vehicles..

How about an Allison 3200 TRV automatic? Now that's a transmission!
