I agree. Childhood dream is to work on cars. Grownup realization is it ain't gonna happen.

 

You are so right and as far as Duane, What an attitude and from what I have seen is the very reason most of those great craftsmen left because of his attitude.

 

I'm sure Charlie (Boyd's old painter) didn't leave Boyd, to go paint for Foose for no reason.....

 

I'd much rather watch Chip Foose than Boyd Coddington. Boyd is too full of himself.

 

Charlie was not the only one to leave Boyd . Duane will keep chasing the good ones off.. Boyd seems oblivious to the fact. Duane is a born again ass.
Foose on the otherhand, is a good people person and takes good care of those who work with him. Boyd and foose are both great hotrod people and have made some of the finest cars ever. I hope they both stay at it a long time. I for one have stopped watching the shows where all they do is argue. Unique Whips is a whole other story. Boo Hiss.

 

the thing i like about overhaulin is most of the time they are on a tight schedule to get a car built for a good person whom their family wanted to repay in some way (an average joe) where Boyd is wanting to cram as much cash in his pockets from people with more money than common sense or he is tryin to get his face in some magazine to sell more crap wheels!! like that green impala with the matchin bike that thing was just grotesk!! And he *****es and whines but you never see him realy work on anything!?? To me that is not a car builder hes a guy that made a name along time ago and is still tryin to stay famous with as little effort as possible!

 

Boyd is an old codger that needs to retire and just shut up.

 

I just watched a new episode of Overhaulin', the one that they did John Force's Mini bus, and noticed yet, a third person from Boyd's crew, now on Overhaulin'. The others were Mike (designing wheels) and Charlie (Paint). I cannot remember his name, but he was involved in the interior seating of the bus.....what is his name?!?!?!?

 

His name is Scott Parker. He finally got fed up when they killed his intake on the abomination of a green Impala that they did. Boyd doesn't believe in innovation - only in making everything look like a Boydster, crazy short deadlines and massive corner cutting. Don't forget that Beattle Bailey went to Foose with Charlie.

Do you remember the kid that freaked out and quit in tears asking Boyd why he let Dwayne treat people so badly? I think the truth is that Boyd would be out of business without Dwayne driving so hard. Boyd is a terrible manager and businessman. Funny that they never mention his recent conviction for forging titles on the show.
