Bluetooth is an option if it has onstar, also a usb port is an option. But I think you are right, for 09 side-curtains were standard.

so onstar is an option and not standard? It does have onstar... and also it has 3 light fixtures on the headliner.. one in the front, middle and in the rear cargo area. One question though... my old 08 has the rear view mirror with the directional indicator n,s,e,w.. the 09 does not... can I trade out the rear view mirror from the 08 to the 09... and if so will it plug directly in and will the functions still work correctly...ie.... onstar and direction?

Onstar is standard now... But I don't know about the mirror...mine is just the plain old simple mirror. (No Onstar)

I think the USB port is in the dash storage box.

I swapped a compass mirror that I got off EBay to my 09 without the compass. I think as long as you have Onstar in the 08 the mirror will work. The compass mirror is also auto dimming where the other one has the manual flip to darken it.

Im glad I will be able to swap them.. I really like having the directional indicator... and the auto dimming is great when u have a butt head behind you who has forgotten to turn his brights off. I guess when I bring home both hhr's to swap the add- on's ... I'll jump in and swap the mirrors.... The old hhr will be auctioned off with a salvaged title so I'm pretty sure GM will not miss it...lol

Few questions:

1. What exactly did your attorney want to do that you didn't approve of?

2. Who did the negotiations during the recess?

3. What's the catch? Are you having to start the loan all over again with the new car or are they giving you a value credit for the payments made on the old car?

well to answer ur questions in order...
1. My attorney wanted me to wait for the lawsuit to go to court and wanted to ask for a large amount of money..... and a few other things....
2. All the negotiations were done by me... my attorney only dealth with the lawsuit part... ie.. If I were to settle with GM he wanted attorney fee's paid... in other words he got paid 3000.00 for filing a few papers....
3. As far as my loan is concerned... GM will ask my finance company to do what is called "colateral exchange" which basicly means they will remove my 08 hhr from the loan and insert the new 09 hhr and I will continue with my payments as usual.... my balance will not change nor will my payments. Most banks wouldnt have any problems with this.... considering they will be geting a 09 hhr with 300 miles in place of a 08 hhr with 14,000 miles on it... but there are a few cases where a bank wouldnt want to do the swap.... either way I need to wait for the approval of my bank... which will take anywhere from 2 to 10 working days to process. If the bank refuses then the only other option will be a complete buyback, which GM does not want to do considering they would be losing about $26,000 cash out of pocket.

Weird. Sounds like he was trying to milk it way more than you were. $3,000 is a lot for a simple filing, especially if he didn't even do the ALJ hearing. I'm only asking because I'm thinking about going into that line of practice sometime in the future. Sometimes clients complain that we don't get as emotionally worked up about their cases, which, it's our job not to get emotionally worked up. Even so, it sounds like he didn't do a whole lot for what he was paid either.

Anyway, congrats on reaching your settlement. I hope the new car works as well for you as mine has for me, and you can actually enjoy and feel safe in the car too.

How about an SS (a few grand more... I know).

Just a suggestion.
