alright as a rather new member here i more than get the use the search function part. I also get needing and wanting questions answered. But if you are here for the long run and intend to contribute you will most likely do some digging and searching before you ask. I spent nearly a week of nightly digging around here looking for info. Now that i have a grasp on what is here, and how to use it i post a bit more.

Too many newbies to notice I guess...

The search function is easy, you may have to select different words, if at first no jackpot..
But ya get the hang of it..
Yep, didn't miss you chiming in anytime I mentioned something about my Canuck springs either...

Anyone that is lowered 2" or more will tell you that if you hit a speed bump too fast you'll bottom out...let it go brother...the springs are great otherwise as good as stock.

And as for the search function, I get it, I understand how it works, but I just think its rude to tell a brand new boardie to check the search function or try a google search. Just makes you out to be an ass and that's probably why many of the newer folks decide not to post again on the site. I'd expect it over on CSS since that's a younger crowd, but from guys in their 40's and 50's...

I find searching the speific FORUM that relates to my search is much easier. Such as if I am searching for something in 2.4L performance I search that forum. This gets rid of useless information that pulls up.

The biggest problem with the Search Function is that three letter words are excluded. So if you want to search the OIL issue, it's not going to deliver any results.

But if you go to the Maintenance forum you can easily find threads with the subject of oil. This is why I move 2-10 threads every day to their correct forums.

Also if you go to the TSB thread and search for a P0445 code you will find only bulletins relating to that code.

To answer the ops? Mike left only a select few know why. and attendance dropped here due the math. I hope that the people who caused him to leave at least know who you are.
I don't think it's the fact that mike had to leave that bothered me it's the fact that some people on here continue to drive people away.
I agree with one of the posts above if someone asks a question answer if you have the knowledge otherwise let some one else .
Don't drive them off the site they are not making the hhrs anymore so we need all the people we can get.

Just to add my .02.........

If you've ever been on a forum, you should know how to use the search function....however, giving a short simple answer and then inviting to use the search function for more indepth answers are polite.

I read this forum for almost 5 weeks BEFORE I bought my HHR. I wanted to know what I was getting into. What I realized is that the HHR has about as much aftermarket support as my old ZX2 does. (i like out of production vehicles) Unless you think outside the box, the mods are the same as many other vehicles. For those who've modded before, they can find the HHR boring.
