Hope they say they are bringing it here and soon, was looking at new cars today and I'm getting the bug. If they say it's coming here, I would definately get one! That car is sick!!

 

After the GTO fiasco and rising gas prices, good luck with that.

 

as much as gas prices suck right now i would take a 6 speed 6.0l over a 4 banger any day, doesn't the new ZO6 Vette get somewhere around 24 mpg if you baby that gas?? that's pretty impressive.

 

I agree PROD, the GTO was not well received. It took them a long time and deep discounts to move them. GM can't afford another Halo car, as good as this probably is. Hopefully the G8 will sell well and we'll have that around for a while.
There are rumors that GM loses significant $ on the Solstice and Sky and they will be discontinued. GM needs to build high volume sales cars. ie, fuel efficient, that will utilize capacity and provide profits to the bottom line. Enthusiasts don't make up enough of the market for this to come here.

 

see now i disagree with everything you say here the solstice and sky are both fuel efficient and fast, plus for them supposedly being discontinued why would they be introducing the hard top solstice. I bet this will come out as a G* couple as said before. the G8 sedan is hot car and people are wanting a coupe version of it. guess all we can do is wait and see what happens.

 

Love it. We will see if Pontiac gives us a G8 coupe or not. Don't forget we are still waiting on the sport ute version first. On the other end of the spectrum, GM is giving us the Pontiac G3 (Cousin to the Chevy Aveo )
