friend of mine totaled his truck without even driving it

A friend of mine was sitting in his office when a truck lost control on the feeder road of the hwy, to make a long story short.... the truck jumped the curb and hit his truck on the drivers side cab... anyways, to make things even worse, he just bought the truck like 6 months ago and even put on customs rims ($2600.00 worth) . He is not to worried about the loan not geting paid, he has gap insurance(he knows he is upside down on the loan) but what he is worried about is geting reinburst for his rims and audio equipment. Does anyone know how that would work?

He will need to present the receipts for the add ons and the insurance company should cough up the extra dough.

SHOULD, provided they DO cover that stuff, some do, some don't, some require you have added it to your insurance prior to the incident with receipts and whatnot. When my D2 was stolen from my Vibe, I contacted my insurance, and only b/c I had the receipt, they covered a partial cost, but required that I send them the receipts of all the aftermarket parts I wanted to cover in case of future incidences.
