A gallon of gasoline vs. everything

A gallon of gasoline cost roughly $3.00 and weighs about 6 lbs. What else cost more than $3.00/gallon or cost more than $0.50/lbs, yet we buy it without thinking twice about the price?

Whiskey. More than $3.00 per gallon and well worth it. Pretty much all meat, vegetables, and fruit cost more than $0.50 per pound and I buy them without thinking about the cost. Milk is almost $3.00 per gallon in my area too.

Milk. We now have sacred cows. Just under 4 bucks a gallon the other day, and you can't burn it as a fuel.

Starbucks cost way more than gas does. How many cups in a gallon? If you look at things like that gas isn't too bad. even peanut butter is way more than gas!

16 8oz cups = 1 gal

But you don't drink 20 gals of coffee a week do you? I don't think I could eat even one gal of peanut butter a week, it becomes expensive when you have to buy large quantities weekly. If you only smoke one cigarette a day, it isn't expensive but if you smoke 2 packs a day, then it is expensive.
