A quick Google search shows that 4 days ago Chevy did a press release calling it a Stingray. I don't know if Chevy used that name in last nights reveal though.

Good find.

It looks like it's at the top of this. However that still doesn't answer what "it" is. A dedicated speaker for your phone perhaps? BTW, this phone pocket is a wireless charger!

Good call here is another shot of the interior showing it is in fact above the phone slot

My $60K question is as a previous owner of a C5 convertible will the C8 eventually go topless as well. Targa tops don't float my boat.

Apparently it's been at least hinted at. Not my cup of tea, I like the Targa tops myself, but there is certainly a demand for a drop top.

I find there is less wind tunnel effect with a drop top than a sunroof or a targa top

Saw it today on local TV news. around $60K is just for the base version.. LOL

Too out there for me. Plus the insurance would be quite a difference from my antique HHR.. And agree if it was coming down the road at me I wouldn't have a clue it was the Baddest Vette yet...

But I would not say NO to a test drive !!!

More info on the C 8 Corvette, see link below:

I am seeing them in person on the roads here, and they look so obviously Corvette, that it's perfect. You KNOW it when you see one.

One Corvette was enough for me-- I owned a 1962 Fi roadster in 1968- I was 18 years old and pulled the heads for a valve job-- ran good as new after that. Sadly, the car insurance killed my teenage budget- it was a whopping $720 a year for me. Sold it after six months and bought a 1955 Sedan delivery- rolled and pleated interior, Chevy orange, a slower 283 4 speed, but I had lots of fun times with that one.
